this week’s TbTotW killed me. i forgot what i was doing but i was going through the rhythm nation tracklist and when escapade came on with that intro i nearly collapsed. i was just sitting wide-eyed in disbelief, shouting ‘ohh shitttt’ to myself. do you get those too? like when you hear a track that you haven’t heard or thought of in ages, and when it plays, it whips you back to a certain memory you’ve associated with the song, and you just start living it, vividly. my memory of rhythm nation is that it was the first cd my parents bought for me when cds were hip, and they let me play this on the living room stereo. anyway, it gave me goosebumps. there needs to be a term for this kind of experience, sorta like janet-jackson-rolled but without the negative connotation. (my friend neeks and i have tried dubbing a positive rolling a ‘barrell roll’ but i think it’s lacking a certain.. i don’t know)

+ actually reneging on my “let’s” requests because i’m ny bound starting tomorrow, mini vacay for april slash may. whats good new york holleur at a playeur.

+ just got my medium format camera finally. i’m mad excited to use it. more photocentric posts soon!
