i’m about to cop serato. well, the box and the vinyls and stuff, from a friend. he just bought the rane mixer that come with serato built in, so he don’t have much use for the old one, so i’ll swoop on it to help further my quest into being an actual dj. although it feels like a backwards way of doin it.. buying serato before i even got tables and a mixer? it’s like - my dad’s favorite analogy - buying rims before buying a car. but i can’t pass it up. soon i’ll be doing weddings, debuts, and bar mitzvahs.

this saturday i’ll be djing again in pasadena for the come up, the crew that lino put together. (flier action) there’s a cover past 10:30 so get there early. flier by yours truly.

better late than never with an estelle remix. i wasn’t really a big fan of this song but it’s sorta grown on me.. i realized after making this one that kanye raps entirely way too long on it. i also slowed it down to 110ish because i’m trying to find more useful things around that bpm range. i’m actually really ocd about that stuff - when i make my mixes and/or sort stuff for a set i am looking at bpm first, song selection second. it’s nerdy, yeah.

my 17 year old cousin gives me shit for liking this song. i told her she’s trippin. even my 11 yr old cousins crack up when i start singing this. however, i’m definitely not crackin up when i hear them singin that ‘i kissed a girl’ song. ya’ll are tripppin. kids these days.. i’ve got this acapella on a few other things but this one is an ~omg~ with the ladies.
