timbo remix and ella ella ella eh eh eh
akakage – lodger’s - or she was only a shopkeeper’s daughter
i remember buying timbo’s first cd. it was the shit back then. to be honest, i only bought it because of a ~girl~ ; she was like ‘have you heard the luv 2 luv u original?’ no? ‘it’s on the cd. you should get it.’ so i did. i really loved it, and since they had a few more singles off the cd, it didn’t lose its replay value super fast. i’d like to thank her, but i forgot her name. i remember she was really foine though. and she had a twin. damn, i messed that one up.
this is timbo on some electro that’s as socal as palm trees and morning traffic. whenever power 106 had their ‘aqua nets’ electro/freestyle mix session at 12 noon, i would try my best to tune in - bringing my walkman to school and then trying to listen to it while eating lunch lead to a few confiscations of said walkman - definitely worth it though.
timbaland - the way i are (siik remix)
buy one get one free:
mary j blige - under my real love(siik remix)
i don’t like how rihanna looks. she looks like a stegosaurus or a brontosaur or one of those dinosaurs we learned in like second grade. however, umbrella is so addicting, and the chris brown version is so so hot. ella ella EH EH EHHHH UNDA MY UMBARELLAH
just a moment
summery? yet? yes? maybe? wait for july, i’ll bring it. i’ve been lagging on mixes because i think to myself that i’ve used all the good tracks, but it just requires extra effort digging.
john robinson - there she goes
lauryn hill - lost ones
automato - gold of desert kings
ugly duckling - pickup lines 2
a tribe called quest - oh my god (remix)
mary j blige - real love
monday michiru - groovement (the dread mix)
black eyed peas - duet
lucy pearl - la
justin timberlake - summer love
yoshinori sunahara - lovebeat

long snip action: amel, monica, brandy+monica
that alicia keys remix + others
i think chris brown is really awesome.
nevermind reading the article, the picture is crucial.
also related to above.
rodney o joe cooley - u don’t hear me though (radio) - their album has the street and radio version, and the radio version, of which i’m more familiar with, is way more tolerable - the street version has so much profanity it’s kinda ridiculous. the whole album even. very 90s westcoast hiphop.
this is probably one of my favorite music videos. especially the part where they’re at the house party and she’s rockin rough and tough with her afro puffs. in regards to her acting, i think that musicians can find it easy to transfer into film, using their same experience as a performer. however, i don’t think that all musicians can successfully act - as in, taking roles that aren’t modeled for them. right now all i can think of are rappers, but most i’ve seen (luda, xzibit, cube, mos, common, et al) are usually ‘that black guy’. (though luda has shown some decent pickings.) it’s hard for them to get a role that isn’t so stereotypical, and when that actually does happen, it’s going to make or break their cinematic endeavors. (the last few things mos def has done were bad, bad, bad.) maybe it’s just a problem of not enough films wanting to do that, or maybe they’re content with just being themselves on screen. but anyway alicia keys was foine in smokin aces.
alicia keys - you don’t know my name (siik remix)
other goodies:
justin timberlake - are you my love
better late than never. been on the myspace for a few months.
outkast minus ugk - international players anthem
the video to this song is so great. plus when is the new outkast gonna drop, it should be fucking bananas on bananas. all these songs andre’s been on lately are like major teasers for their own shit.
