i’ve been listening to a lot of 90s hiphop. life after death, all eyez on me, e.1999, pete rock, big daddy kane, et al- and there were some real good gems back in the day. been really surprised with the main source cd and the camp lo cd. i hate to be ‘that dude’ who has no respect for whats goin on now and is clingy and conservative with the past, but yo. give me examples of some real lyrical storytelling happening now and i’ll gladly play it out.
